The Temu app is an online marketplace that offers a wide range of goods, including electronics, clothing, accessories, home goods, and more. Temu serves a number of countries across the globe by providing heavily discounted goods that are primarily shipped directly from China to consumers.
Why The Temu App is so good?
This model of direct shipping from China allows for lower prices on products due to reduced distribution costs. It can be particularly attractive for consumers looking for affordable options. Temu uses the slogan “Team Up, Price Down” as a way to entice more communities to band together to buy items from the company. The more consumers buy, the more the factories and vendors can produce which lowers costs for suppliers which means even lower prices for consumers
Too good to be true?
Temu can be accessed through a web browser or via a mobile application. Temu is a legit corporation and supports a variety of secure payment methods such as PayPal, Apple Pay, and other buy now, pay later services. The app also provides free items to those who promote the application via their social media such as Tik Tok, Facebook, or Instagram.
Customers have received as much as $200 in items just by reviewing or recommending the application to friends and family. As of May 2023, Temu had a total of 33 million downloads which includes 14 million iOS app downloads and 19 million Android app downloads.
Better Business Bureau and Temu App
It is to be noted that Temu is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau and currently has a 2.51/5 (or C-) score on the site where there are currently alerts against the business.
Most of the complaints are lack of refunds, lack of customer service and promotional promises not being honored. The popular fast-fashion retailer has issues with trade loopholes, product safety and forced labor. The app has mixed reviews on the quality of items but with the price tags, it may be a hit or miss.
